Individual  Therapy for Adults

$200 per 1-hour session

What is Individual Therapy?

Individual therapy, also known as individual counselling, talk therapy, or psychotherapy, is a one-on-one, confidential process between a trained therapist and an individual. It provides a safe, supportive space to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and life challenges to help you work toward your goals. Examples of goals may be: personal growth, emotional well-being, increased self-awareness, or healing.

If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, life transitions, parenting challenges, low self-esteem, stress, or simply feeling stuck, individual therapy can help you gain clarity, build resilience, and find healthier ways to cope and thrive.

How it works

Your sessions are your time to talk, to share your story, and to process your thoughts and emotions.

In these sessions, I will work collaboratively with you to:

  • Identify concerns and set personal goals

  • Explore patterns and emotional responses

  • Explore contributing social factors

  • Develop strategies for change and self-care

Because you are unique, your therapy will be tailored to meet your specific needs, background, and pace.

Sessions typically last 60 minutes and occur weekly or biweekly, depending on your goals and schedule. Everything shared in therapy is kept confidential, in accordance with ethical guidelines outlined in the Canadian Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.

Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Whether you’re struggling or simply want to understand yourself better, individual counselling offers a space to feel heard, supported, and empowered.
